Today was the start of the annual Denver comic con held at the colorado convention center in downtown Denver. Right off the bat you could tell the improvements over last years. The area for vendors small and big alike is much more spacious than last, even the event staff seemed more prepared to handle the influx of patrons that attended.
Cosplay galore could also describe the comic con, even on the first day it seemed that one out every three people were dressed up as their favorite character. Imagine "people watching" at an airport and a whole plane of Marvel, DC, and indie comic book characters stepped off and started walking and conversing with those around them. Yea, it was a good time. On a side note, I didn't even see one slave girl Princess Leia outfit, a lot of originality in costume choices today. Its almost impossible to have a bad time here, as 99% of the people here are friendly dressing up to express their inner selfs.
Among the vendors in the artist valley (get it, its like artist alley but were in colorado, get it?), Ive come to feel a sense of community, because everyone in front, to the left, to the right, or behind you is doing the exact same thing. Following their passion and "making it happen". Here are just a small percentage of creators and artists I befriended to day, don't forget to click and check them out.

This years Denver comic con is shaping up to be even better than lasts in all aspects. People from last year are coming back to the "Buddies Cartoon" table to show support as well as new fans. New fans and support that will keep me coming back for years to come. Heres to a great upcoming weekend.
